Wright of PassageLocation: Woolwich DockAddress: Clarke Road Woolwich NSW 2110 Time: Thu November 9, 9:30 am to Thu November 9, 3:00 pm Passengers: 6 Making Waves Foundation Wright of Passage program is for young people between the ages of 16 to 25, who are looking for learning options outside of the classroom. Students work closely with mentors in refurbishing a sailing vessel, learning in a hands-on environment to develop and understand the basics of trade skills. Enabling participants to build confidence and develop abilities they need when transitioning from school to apprenticeships and employment. The program runs Wednesday and Thursday at Woolwich Dock, working on the project vessel. Alternate weeks are Wednesdays at Woolwich Dock and Friday sailing on the harbour out of the Cruising Yacht Club Australia (CYCA) in Rushcutters Bay. | |
